Concerning the lecture:
The Vedas are the ‘pramanas’ of Sanatana Dharma (also called Hindu Faith). Whereas most SD followers maintain Veda in nice reverence, they aren’t prone to have both studied or understood the Vedas. In the course of the previous two to a few centuries, the Western students and the Indologists (indigenous students in India who’ve studied the works of the Western authors or labored beneath/with them) have written in regards to the Vedas that haven’t, within the speaker’s opinion, precisely described the ‘essence and secrets and techniques of the Vedas’. Whether or not as a consequence of incapability to know the ‘cultural ethos’ of the land and the individuals, or as a consequence of incapability to know the symbols and symbolism used within the Vedas, or as a consequence of no matter different causes, the speaker contends that Western publications on the Vedas have did not do justice to the Vedas because the “oldest books of knowledge the world has recognized”.

It was Sri Aurobindo (SA) (1872-1950) who defined that the Vedas have ‘non secular and psychological meanings’ along with the exterior word-meanings of the Veda Mantras, and that solely by exploring and understanding such meanings, also called the ‘adhyathmic’ meanings, can we perceive the knowledge and energy of the Vedas. T. V. Kapali Shastry (TVKS or KS) independently felt that Vedas had deeper meanings and joined the SA Ashram in Pondicherry and labored with SA from 1940s until his personal dying in 1953. Prof. R. L. Kashyap arrange SAKSHI (Sri Aurobindo Kapali Shastry Institute) of Vedic Tradition in Bangalore in 1997 and has translated all of the Vedas in 26 volumes. This discuss will talk about the SA method to understanding the ‘essence and secret of the Vedas’ by explaining the ‘non secular and psychological meanings’ of Veda Mantras. This discuss may even attempt to present that understanding the Vedas accurately will profit all SD followers to steer a lifetime of peace, concord and perfection
