The Best PC Games of All Time

Whether you’re a first-time PC user or you’re looking for a new game to add to your collection, there are plenty of options out there to choose from. But which games are the best?

GTA V

Despite being a game that was launched six years ago, GTA V is still one of the best PC games ever created. It features a large, open world that is populated by great characters. It also has a great sense of place. It has a huge map and offers thousands of activities to do.

GTA V requires a powerful CPU and graphics card, but the game isn’t overly demanding. You should be able to run GTA V at a decent 1080p resolution on an entry-level gaming PC.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Despite the fact that the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t perfect, it’s a better overall experience than most other games. It’s also one of the best-looking games on the PC. The PC version includes many new features and improvements over the console version.

In addition to improvements in graphics and options, the PC version features more realistic controls and framerate. Unlike on the console, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has a few stability issues. However, these will be addressed through constant patches.

Destiny 2

Whether it’s your first time playing the game or you’re a long-time fan, Destiny 2 is one of the best PC games to play. Despite the fact that it hasn’t been out long, the game has managed to improve and evolve over time.

The game offers a unique blend of FPS and MMO gameplay, with players assuming the role of a Guardian. The title features beautiful backdrops and lighting effects. The game also includes several accessibility options. Its lore is rich and compelling.

Spelunky 2

Despite its ostensible roguelike gameplay, Spelunky 2 is one of the best PC games of the year. Featuring multi-layered levels, a procedurally generated world, and a wealth of interlocking threats, the game offers a variety of new challenges.

Designed by Derek Yu, a US-based game developer, Spelunky is a pixelated adventure game set in cavernous underground caverns. Players traverse through the caverns, using ropes and bombs to slay their enemies.

Dota 2

Despite being one of the best PC games of all time, Dota 2 has received some criticism. It’s a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game and is based on the Source game engine. There are dozens of heroes to choose from, and each has different abilities. Some heroes are even powerful enough to be considered ultimates, which means they are very difficult to kill.

Metro Exodus

Despite its flaws, Metro Exodus is a great video game. The game is an immersive experience that combines survival, stealth, and tactical combat to create a memorable experience. It’s based on the Dmitry Glukhovsky novels, and it’s been designed with an open world.

Metro Exodus is a post-apocalyptic game set in Russia. You play the role of Artyom, who sets off on a continent-spanning journey to the far east. Along the way, you’ll encounter human factions, mutated creatures, and day/night cycles. There are also a few hubs to explore, so you can take a break from fighting to explore the world.

Yakuza 6 vs Yakuza 0

Compared to the previous entries in the Yakuza series, Yakuza 6 feels like a less comprehensive experience. It lacks the refinement of Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 5, but its storyline is good and its cast of characters is outstanding.

It’s no secret that the Yakuza series has gone through multiple remakes and sequels. Each one reintroduces a number of characters to the franchise. This isn’t a bad thing, but the games have a tendency to have strange concessions to content.

Halo: Reach

Originally released in 2010 for the Xbox 360, Halo: Reach is now available for the PC. The new release is available via Steam, Microsoft’s Windows Store, or as a download from the Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The game re-invents the Halo formula, allowing players to customize their weapons, armor, and even their suit powers. For example, players can unlock “Active Camouflage,” a special suit power that enables them to shoot a laser beam and heal themselves at the same time. Then there’s “Drop Shield,” a healing force field that generates when the player drops their armor.

It Takes Two

Using a variety of elements in tandem, It Takes Two is an exciting co-op experience that’s bound to please players of all ages. Not only does It Takes Two take the traditional platforming experience to a new level, but the game also incorporates elements of puzzle-solving and vehicle segments into the mix.

It Takes Two is an incredibly entertaining adventure game that will entertain you for hours on end. Its whimsical nature is complemented by its beautiful visuals and well-crafted worlds. Each chapter introduces a new gameplay mechanic, and players will need to master them before they can continue on their journey.

Rust

Developed by Facepunch Studios, Rust is an online multiplayer game that emphasizes survival. Players must build and defend a shelter, battle other players, and collect resources to survive.

The game’s engrossing story is driven by players’ interaction. The sprawling, open plains are an excellent backdrop for dramatic moments.

While Rust is an impressive survival game, the game is still rife with betrayal, greed, and cruelty. It’s a good game for players looking to compete in a PvP environment, though.
