Precisely how Astrologers Think

Times possess changed! How do astrologers believe today? Not much different than they already have always thought. But they might be better understood. Learn more…

Russians think of their country because Aquarius ruled, according to Johnson’s “Russia List”. Johnson’s Listing is a daily e-mail e-newsletter with various sources of information and examination of contemporary Russia. Maybe that is why they are so open to horoscopy. Aquarius is also the taking-over sign for astrologers.

I used to be reading about some intuitions Russian astrologers were generating for the year 2002 in the article written at that time by simply Kevin O’Flynn for Johnson’s “Russia List” entitled “Stars Aren’t Smiling Down on 2002”.

O’Flynn, who quotes Ruskies astrologers like Yury Longo, Sergei Bezborodny and Alexander Zarayev, doesn’t seem to place much in horoscope predictions, but this individual notes that “even several current and former Ruskies and U. S. frontrunners and their wives have shown the in astrological predictions”. We don’t know what Russian frontrunners he’s referring to, but it is thought that President and Mrs Reagan consulted astrologers like Sydney Omar, Jeanne Dixon and Joan Quigley.

The comment that captured my attention in the post, however, was this:

“Perhaps the most pessimistic of the astrologers doing the rounds in the European media was Alexander Zarayev. He predicted in “Argumenty I Fakty” that Spain would see a bumpy cruise between February 28 along with March 12 and a good worse time after August 27, with problems in the centre East and other hot locations. It will be similar to the [ruble] default in 1998, very well said Zarayev, who, similar to many astrologers, was limited on details [emphasis mine].

Many writers who have covered astrology interviews along with predictions don’t understand or are similar to astrology and cover this with thinly veiled poker fun.

There is a reason astrologers tend to be “short on details”, which I would like to explain in this post. It has to do with the method our predictions are made and how we think.

Astrologers avoid associating events with triggers and effects. They relate them by analogy, very much as poets do.

There are two reasons they use for those who. First, we are trying to make clear things that are difficult to place in words, like poets. Typically the poet says, “my enjoy is like a red, reddish colored rose” because it is hard to place in words what an intangible thing, feeling or expertise like love is without comparing it to a thing tangible, of rare splendour and ecstatic fragrance, just like, for example, a rose.

Second, we arrive at our results by connecting dots that can be invisible to the untrained attention but exist inside our formulas and calculations and lead us to our results without physical evidence. This is the reason backing up some of our assertions is difficult. We know two things are associated through a moment space, but we are not precisely sure what these people will look like on the manifest planet plane. The Russian language astrologer said, “It will likely be similar to the [ruble] default in 1998. ”

Merely might qualify Zarayev’s report, which he hasn’t been allowed to do in this once-removed report of his auguration; I would suggest that the events he/she describes are “similar” inside gravity and scope, but in addition, perhaps in “tone” and also “texture” to the ruble standard.

Here’s an example from anything you may be more familiar with. I possibly could say that 911 was like the Great Fire of London, UK, in 1666 and the particular Galveston Flood in 1900 (the deadliest natural devastation that the United States has ever before experienced) or the San Francisco earthquake in 1906 in the opportunity because these are all catastrophic activities of almost unimaginable proportions. Yet 911 is more similar inside tone to the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941 and the Viking raid on the Lindisfarne Monastery in Great Britain in 793 because although these activities were catastrophic disasters, these people were also surprised attacks simply by foreign enemies on residence soil.

Here’s an example of how this kind of reasoning is completed in event forecasting. Imagine I see that Saturn will probably pass over your Moon inside your fourth house. Astrology is a language. It is a way of talking about energy. Now we make an effort to come up with some events which can be probable, given what we are aware of this energy. In some cases, put into effect the nature of the person we’re looking at into account — maybe he is an 80-year-old person, or she could be a 21-year-old girl — and what we know of their identity and life events by the information we request early in advance.

Here are some of the images that happen to be suggested by this combination of strength, Saturn + Moon plus 4th house:

— anyone goes on an archaeology burrow

— someone’s parent turns very ill

— anyone breaks their leg and is mainly laid up in the house to get a while, on the ground floor to get the convenience

— someone obtains some extended lost information about all their ancestors for their genealogy undertaking

— someone gets straightened down in the basement in error or on purpose

— a person becomes a grandparent for the first time

— someone contacts the cemetery to find out about burial plots

— someone is digging inside their backyard (in Chicago! ) and finds a prehistoric bone

— a significantly older tree falls on somebody’s house

If you can “connect the dots” and have an expression00 of what these items might have in common, you are in line as a good astrologer.

It’ll enable you to.

Saturn = something or perhaps someone ancient, buried, very long forgotten

Moon = in the past and far away, infantile, motherish

4th house = family history, deeply hidden, emotionally purposeful

We use intuitive imagining to interpret information discovered by the numbers in our zodiac calculations. You might also compare that to the way a doctor flows an x-ray. The ray x shows a picture of one thing, but it doesn’t mean anything until someone taught to interpret x-ray pictures examines it and tells you.

After I try to help my zodiac students develop their predatory instincts, we do “drills” similar to this. I ask, “If you were a flower, what kind can you be? ” Then I inquire, “If that person over there was a flower, what kind would certainly s/he be? ” Or even a colour. Or a piece of audio. Or a body of water. Our students sometimes get irritated using this, but it’s like practising scales (etudes) within the piano. It is building the correct brain or intuitive abilities.

As we’ve shown, whenever astrologer Zarayev says “similar to the ruble default within 1998”, he is making a good analogy – “this” — something known — is similar to “that” — something confirmed unknown — based on 3d dot-to-dot, using geometric ratios and non-linear thinking much like physics and even music, which could seem vague.

Many people think that astrology is like being clairvoyant or prophetic. The zodiac is more like physics or even music and not at all such as intuitive and psychic capability. However, astrologers can use the two skills to enhance the information they provide you with from their calculations. However, astrologers study intensely from 3 to 5 years to learn their abilities, and most would be insulted if you described them as clairvoyant or intuitive! Many astrologers are among the brightest individuals on earth. (Not necessarily based on psychics or intuition. )

Astrology is a branch of metaphysics. Physics explores the development of the universe using the remaining brain. Metaphysics explores the actual creation of the universe utilizing the right brain.

Physicists utilize numbers and formulae within a quantitative language. Astrologers utilize astrological symbols and formulae in a qualitative language. Music artists use notes and formulae in what is commonly considered the majority of universal of all languages.

Whilst clients may think that astrologers do nothing but make predictions regarding people’s lives, waiting with patience on their phone for your go-ahead on a chart (! ), most astrologers tend to be fascinated with the inner workings of the universe, like physicists, along with spend hours doing 3rd party research, honing their knowledge on projects of their own in which interest them. Ask your selected astrologer what s/he’s investigating at the moment, and be ready for the unexpected!

What am I studying at the moment? The effect of Pluto morceau through Sagittarius on the Arab-speaking world, the history of the Ancient music theory, and sophisticated horary astrology.

Reading intended for clients often permits us all to have the time for these other passions — we do enjoy our clients! — which are not often lucrative in and of by themselves. Astrologers compare notes regarding their developments and present findings throughout professional journals, at get-togethers and casually among pals with shared interests — just like other professionals.

Let’s take explore further the way astrologers think. As we discussed, astrology can be a branch of metaphysics. Metaphysicians look at the creation of the whole world using the right brain, then one called “vertical” thinking. Below is the difference between horizontal along with vertical thinking.

Horizontal considering uses the concept of cause and effect and relies on a thready relationship between events with time and space, i., electronic., first this happened, after which this happened as a result. The actual ineffective conclusion of Globe War I caused Globe War II.

Here’s a daily example. I’m drinking the dietary plan coke because I am parched. (I got thirsty, which caused me to drink the diet program coke. ) Or I am drinking this diet coke mainly because my grandmother introduced my family to them on hot afternoons in Texas when I was a kid. Therefore, I consistently ingest cokes when it’s hot. The simple truth is hot weather causes me to enjoy diet coke.

Vertical imagining is different. It associates functions by a meaningful relationship that is undoubtedly sometimes subjective (the significance is in the reality of the beholder) and sometimes by a system which usually describes invisible but not fictional patterns and relationships like music or astrology.

It might also be that I’m drinking this diet soft drink today because something sets off me subconsciously to reach for starters every time I run my tongue over the roof regarding my mouth in a particular way I’ve been doing, given that childhood. This subconscious physical fitness is personal and debatable, but rubbing my is usually over the roof of my very own mouth does not “cause” my family to drink diet cokes.

As well as I may do this because they had 3: 20 pm when I used to wake up after my polio-prevention nap as a kid and be handed a chilly diet coke by our grandmother on the way to the children’s pool.

Something “reminds me” close to 3: 20 every evening that it’s time to “reach to get a diet coke”. That’s private and subjective and a connection that the subconscious mind will make, but childhood naps did not “cause” me to appreciate this diet coke.

When evaluating vertical connections, we patrol backwards and forwards in time. Actually, with astrology, the childhood eating habits cokes and the adult eating habits cokes would be siblings. Often the parent is something else altogether, and that something is the mother magnification.

The third element in usable thinking is invisible, although discernible quality to a particular time attracts functions to it by appropriateness.

Previous to I go too much even more with this, here’s a day-to-day sort of the “quality” of a moment. Every morning upon 1st awakening, I go for a several-mile walk. It’s usually an exciting and peaceful way to commence the day. Two days ago, your dog harassed me for several minutes after I checked my mailbox en route home. A car almost leapt me over. Then the base fell out of a carrier of garbage I had taken to the trash.

At that point, I replanned my day, reckoning, calculating it would be the kind of strength where I should do as small as possible outside the house. Often the “quality” of the time was not excellent. I didn’t need to look at my ephemeris to know that (! ), but conceivably, there were some hostile areas to the Moon for several a long time that day.

Had My partner and I looked ahead, I might have known this, but My partner and I don’t rely much on astrology for day-to-day essentials, though that may surprise an individual. This is because I feel that we must build ourselves to the point that we can easily roll with the motion from the inner planets to be efficient adults. Inner planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars) dictate day-to-day issues and changes that happen throughout a couple of weeks. ) Simple maturity ordre that we become capable of handling our daily affairs. We now have had every inner globe circle our charts sometimes if we are over 25 and should be used to their electricity by now.

In times of crisis, transformation, confusion, and discouragement, I study my chart intensely and often seek help from other astrologers and healers. These times are generally ruled by the outer exoplanets Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Some of these planets will visit a few houses of the charts during our overall lives, and we are not familiar with them to the degree that can cause havoc with our well-designed lives. All of us have portions of ourselves we do not know.

Crucial that you note, however, returning to this morning, that it got off to a bad start… your pet did not cause the “cause” car to almost reach me. The careless motorist didn’t “cause” the garbage case to break. They were all things of a specific nature that grouped at one time and place. We were holding siblings; the parent two might be of interest to an astrologer.

The Greeks had a pair of words for time: Chronos and kairos. Chronos describes chronological time, the kind utilized for cause-and-effect thinking. Kairos refers to a quality of your time such that all occasions that occur at that time are similar.

When I give the classes, which are usually little because they are geared toward gifted infp healers who represent just 1% of the population, I love to ask us to consider the calibre of the time that would draw these five or ten people precisely together out of the vast amounts of people on the earth.

This is happening randomly throughout your time as well. Why did someone consistently wind up at the grocery store with those people? Why did your name show up for an IRS audit at the moment? Why did you mix the intersection just with time to get hit in which car?

These rhetorical questions, however, are fascinating to the astrologer who will study and might be found intently. For example, it might amaze you that when we go through the charts of a policeman plus a criminal, they are pretty identical — certainly more than the charts of a cop and a pianist. The same applies to victims and perpetrators of accidents, rapes, surgeries, etc. Slowly, a pattern shows itself.

The kairos amount of time in your astrology chart is analyzed for information about your personality, which will determine your destiny or what amounts to fate. “Character is destiny. ” An excellent book for this topic is “The Difficult task of Fate” by Thorwald Dethlefsen, an extremely influential In german metaphysician whose books are not always available in English mouvement.

Another phrase we two this. “Your life is your birth writ large. Very well, The moment of your birth offers the energy you will coat, so to speak, or spread over 60 to 90 years on earth. Its flavour will drip down over and through anything you do, creating ribbons associated with texture and pattern, creating everything you do similar or even familiar in some secret, delicate way. If only you had an eye to see. It is easier to detect this in someone apart from yourself.

It is even feasible to see that the manner of your physical birth is repetitive repeatedly across the length of your daily life in the particular outer occasions that occur or bunch around your energy. It takes coaching to see this. Also, many people are unfamiliar with their birth and labour details.

If you plan to study metaphysics or maybe astrology, a good thing to do is ask your mother about exciting features of the details of your birth, which means you have the information handy. It can become more and more meaningful for your requirements as your studies progress.

Acquiring back to kairos, sometimes kairos reveals itself best by simply going back across the thready time. Most of my jobs as an astrologer involve shopping back at transits during history to see what occurred under similar transits in past times and what connections I can create.

For example, we had a rare, as soon-as-in-a-lifetime astronomical occasion a few springtimes ago, the Venus eclipse. I researched all the times in the past when this event occurred, all the way to 1 CE and uncovered two exciting things:

— a predominance of strong women rulers or activists;

— emphasis on the Salic Laws

The laws in the Salian Franks, from where Charlemagne eventually sprang, restricted women from inheriting the home, and this became a prominent significant Europe during later routines.

Something that interests astrologers, these kinds of eclipses have been occurring inside the first 15 degrees of Gemini and Sagittarius for 2 000 years.

Another of our pet projects is checking out Pluto transits in Sagittarius. Somewhat unnervingly, I discovered these are low periods for American Europeans and high cycles for the Arab world. We all just concluded one. While some newscasters and historians alluded to the fact that we were completing the Crusades, an astrologer could see the terrifying reality of this statement mathematically and without emotion or perhaps a personal human opinion.

Have I been able to predict that will 911 would happen? No. Yet I did predict — inside a paper I read on the “Better Worlde Galleria” in 1995 — that this point in time would bring an increase in terrorism, religious intolerance, difficulties inside travel, immigration problems, an increase of asthma and disturbance pollution and many other things that include happened. Is this vague? Without a doubt. Is it true? Yes. Is it beneficial? Yes.

One astrologer, often the inimitable Rob Hand, has seemed to predict 911 itself. Incredibly, an editor to get “Mountain Astrologer”, our “trade journal”, chose as an example of this for his article, which will appear well in advance of Sept. 11, 2001, the mark for the planet Pluto (which, among other things symbolizes, death in addition to mass destruction) across the Lesser sibling Towers. In my opinion, Michael Lutin, a “Vanity Fair” astrologer, also made the prediction.

As a metaphysician, I am not so serious about predictions as I am, including Einstein, interested in knowing The lord’s mind. If this sounds presumptuous, at least it keeps me busy. Like the german language philosophers, I believe that one thing akin to God’s imagination or Adam Smith’s “invisible hand” is revealed in a detached exploration and the idea of the outworking of background in the turning gyre in the heavens.
