The spectacular eleven day Ganesh pageant honors the start of the beloved Hindu elephant-headed god, Lord Ganesha. The beginning of the pageant sees enormous, elaborately crafted statutes of Ganesha put in in properties and podiums, which have been particularly constructed and superbly embellished. On the finish of the pageant, the statutes are paraded by the streets, accompanied by a lot singing and dancing, after which submerged within the ocean.
