Fashion District Philadelphia was unveiled to the public in September 2019 by Macerich and Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT). Formerly known as Gallery Mall, this 1.5 million ft2 property underwent a significant renovation to become an urban destination of note.

Still, they host world-renowned artists, immersive experiences, and culturally authentic dining concepts such as Uniquely Philadelphia at The Enterprise Center.

As part of its efforts to support Philadelphia artists and encourage civic engagement, Fashion District has implemented public art throughout its property. Furthermore, local artisan and community organizations are endowed with exhibition space. Erika Erb, the center’s Director of Marketing, emphasizes supporting such local initiatives as an integral way of strengthening communities while strengthening relationships between citizens.

Wonderspaces, the center’s first-to-market immersive art experience, is a permanent venue that allows local and international artists to showcase interactive artworks that explore technology.
