Sivapuranam is being a part of the Saiva work ‘Thiruvachakam’, written by the Saiva Saint Manickavachakar who’s believed to have lived in the course of the finish of ninth Century A.D. It wants no different rationalization than the saying:

“thiruvAchakaththukku urukAdhAr oru vAchakaththukkum urukAr”

Sivapuranam is forming first a part of Thiruvachakam. The hymn, with its 95 strains (Kalivenba poetic format), attracts an in depth account on the origin, look and characters of Lord Shivas, the primes deity of Saivites. Additional the work explains that the soul is in affiliation with an entity known as Anava (anavam) from beginningless interval. Anava just isn’t ego and it’s a malam (an impurity) related to the soul . It’s the supply of all damaging qualities like ignorance, ego and many others,. Below its bondage, the soul was unable to know itself and the God above it. The all-merciful God, Lord Siva, needed to free the soul from the grip of Anava. The textual content is easy and comprehensible to many of the Tamil talking devotees.
